If truth be told, if scars are shown, then we may cry
But only if they come from those who really care for us
Then we can hold them in our heart cos they can’t hurt us

Then we can live and make our way without the fear of
The light that shines and always finds that chink of armour
That gives us pain but helps us gain and makes us stronger
If truth be told in them thar hills there’s really gold
